Redescription. Male. Light reddish brown (Fig. 3), length 2.15–2.31. Head wider than long, HL 0.40–0.41, HW 0.53–0.55, punctate only near antennal tubercles, median carina distinct, eyes with about 30 facets; antennae short (Fig. 8). Pronotum about as long as wide, PL 0.53–0.54, PW 0.53–0.55, disc smooth. Elytra slightly wider than long, EL 0.74–0.76, EW 0.89–0.90. Abdomen wider than long, AL 0.49–0.58, AW 0.77–0.81; tergite IV larger than V–VII combined, simple in structure, width between discal carinae 0.27. Length of aedeagus (Figs. 19– 20, 25–26) 0.31.
Female. Similar to male in size, length 2.21–2.34, HL 0.47–0.49, HW 0.52–0.53, PL 0.53–0.54, PW 0.53–0.54, EL 0.72–0.73, EW 0.87–0.88, AL 0.49–0.58, AW 0.83–0.84. Eyes with about 23 facets. Width of female genitalia (Fig. 31) 0.23.
Remarks. The species is distinctive within the group by the form of its male and female genitalia. It was formerly recorded from the Korean Peninsula and Taiwan. To no surprise the species is also now known from East China.
