New record for the Paraná State.
Comments: This species was previously recorded only in northern regions of South America. The record of this species for the ParNa Iguaçu expands its distribution in at least 3,000 Km. The individuals were collected only in light traps.
Bioacoustics (Fig. 14C, D): Males stridulate only during the night, producing hemisyllables that are not grouped, so echemes are not present. Each hemisyllable is formed by several pulses in crescendo that after reaching the peak start diminishing their intensity reaching a frequency that are smaller than the initial frequency.
Dominant frequency: 11 ± 1.7 kHz.
Bandwidth: 4.4 ± 2.8 kHz.
Duration: Pulse: 0.7 ± 0.3 ms; Syllable: 25 ± 1 ms.
Mute interval: Pulse: 0.7 ± 0.06 ms.
