First faunistic record for Croatia: Padewieth 1900 [as M. alpina; first reported as M. irena in Galvagni 1986, 1987] Also reported as: Pezotettix alpina Kollar, 1833 (Padewieth 1900)
Distribution in Croatia: Not common, present in the Pannonian region and the northern slopes of the Dinaric Alps (north of Poštak Mt.). Recorded also on Rab Island (Puskás et al. 2018), but its presence there should be confirmed. Distribution in Europe: From the southern edge of the Eastern Alps in Italy, Austria and Slovenia (Western distribution border) to the Slavonian Mountains of Croatia, and through Bosnia and Herzegovina to Kosovo (southern border), and to Southern Romania (eastern border) (Zuna-Kratky et al. 2016).
