The presence of this species in Croatia is improbable considering its known distribution in Europe (Buzzetti et al. 2016). Historical records from Hvar Isl., Split and Zadar (Bucchich 1886, Novak 1888, 1891) are most likely based on misidentifications (Stalling, pers. comm.).
