Distribution in Croatia: Along the Adriatic coast—abundant in Istria and Kvarner with adjacent islands, southern slopes of Velika Kapela Mt. and Velebit Mt. Adamović’s findings (1964) are the only published record from
Dubrovnik region (there are recent unpublished findings in Dubrovnik area, T. Koren, Konavle VI.2015).
Distribution in Europe: Endemic to the Balkans—widely distributed in the central and western Balkans, its range extending to the Southeastern Carpathians. Specimens from the western and the eastern population were not adequately compared so far (Chobanov et al. 2016).
