Also reported as: Parapleurus alliaceus Germar, 1825 (Pongrácz 1944)

Distribution in Croatia: Not common, found in wet lowland habitats in the Pannonian region and known from a single locality in the Dinaric Alps (Poštak Mt., Szövenyi et al. 2018).

Distribution in Europe: The very north of Spain, most of France, the South of Germany, in Switzerland and Austria, Northern Italy and the northern part of the Balkan Peninsula, to Northern Greece in the south, and to Eastern European Russia in the east (Hochkirch et al. 2016).
