Remarks.
The examined male keyed to Pionopsis lutescens following Gerecke et al. (2016). The Portuguese specimens form a unique BIN (BOLD: AFV 3897). The p - distance between the latter BIN and its nearest neighbor, BOLD: AET 1848, which includes specimens of P. lutescens from Montenegro, was estimated at 12.34 %, indicating the need for taxonomic revision of P. lutescens complex to identify possible undescribed cryptic species.
Distribution.
Holarctic. In Portugal previously reported from Sintra-Monserrate Park and Palace, Estremadura (Lundblad 1956).
