Diagnosis. H. bidentata is currently the only known species of the genus.

Material examined. 1♀ (“ allotype ”), 2n: COSTA RICA, San José, pass on Highway 1 [sic], km 88, Cerro de la Muerte, 8-V-1995, Baumann & Houseman [MZCR] . 1♂, COSTA RICA, San José Prov., 29 mi. N Sanisidro de El General, 11,000’, 10-VII-1974, C.W. & L. O’Brien & G.B. Marshall [USNM] .

Distribution. Costa Rica (San Jose Prov.)

Remarks. The exact locality of the male examined here seems difficult to verify from the label, “ 29 mi. N Sanisidro de General”. The female genitalia and nymph are illustrated for the first time here.
