Type host. Odontesthes smitti (Lahille) (Pisces: Atherinopsidae).

Site of infection. Stomach, intestine.

Type locality. Argentina, Chubut Province, Southwestern Atlantic Ocean, Golfo de San José (42º25’S, 64º07’W).

Holotype: MLP 5881. Paratypes: MLP 5882 (2 specimens), MLP 5988 (4 specimens), MLP 5989 (3 specimens), MLP 5990 (2 specimens), MLP 5991(1 specimen).
