Type host. Podiceps major (Boddaert) (Aves: Podicepedidae). Site of infection. Small intestine.

Type locality. Argentina, Buenos Aires Province, Chascomús, Laguna Lacombe (35°49ˏS; 57°49ˏW). Holotype: MLP 6061. Paratypes: MLP 6062 (3 specimens). Reference. Lunaschi & Drago (2010b).
