Type host. Mugil platanus Günther (Pisces: Mugilidae).

Site of infection. Gills.

Type locality. Argentina, Buenos Aires Province, Bahía de Samborombón, between Punta Piedras (32º57ʹS, 57º08ʹW) and Punta Rasa (36º18ʹS, 56º48ʹW).

Holotype: MLP 5933. Paratype: MLP 5934.
