Type host. Haematopus palliatus Temminck (Aves: Haematopodidae). Site of infection. Gizzard.

Type locality. Argentina, Buenos Aires Province, Laguna de Mar Chiquita (37º46ʹS, 57º27ʹW). Holotype: 3 MLP 4066/1. Paratypes: MLP 4066/2 (allotype Ƥ); MLP 4066/3 (13, 1Ƥ). Remarks. In the original description (Cremonte et al. 1999) the collection numbers are refered as 40,066/1;

40,066/2 and 40,066/3 due to a mistake.
