Hirtodrosophila zhangae Chen, Katoh & Gao, sp. nov.

Diagnosis. Cercus ventrally with numerous black, thick spines of which apical ones longer and somewhat sinuate (Fig. 8D). Aedeagus apically with large membranous process which tapering distally in lateral view, subapically swollen dorsally, with a pair of lateral processes and ventral fin-shaped, marginally serrated process (Fig. 8 I–K, M); lateral processes small, flat, bent ventrad, finely serrate on dorsal margin (Fig. 8I, M). Spermathecal capsule apically indented (Fig. 8P).
Description (characters commonly seen in H. minshanensis sp. nov. not repeated) (♂, ♀). Head (Figs 3A, B, 5 A–F): Frontal vitta brown to dark brown, paler than front-orbital plate and ocellar triangle. Fronto-orbital plate dark brown. Ocellar setae inserted inside triangle made by ocelli. Face and facial carina dark brown. Gena brown, anteriorly dark brown. Subvibrissa weak, indistinguishable from other orals. Pedicel dark brown; first flagellomere grayish brown; arista with 4–5 dorsal branches. Supracervical setae 12–13 per side; postocular setae 22–24 per side. Cibarium with 6–7 medial and ca. 17 posterior sensilla per side. Prementum with five (one proximal, two lateral, and two distal) pairs of setae.
Thorax (Fig. 3A, B): Postpronotal lobe brown, paler than mesonotum. Mesonotum brown; lateral stripes indistinct. Notopleuron brown, somewhat paler than mesonotum. Thoracic pleura brown to dark brown.
Wing (Fig. 3A, C): dm-cu crossvein slightly clouded.
Legs (Fig. 3A) yellowish brown to grayish yellow, tarsi distally grayish brown. First tarsomeres of all legs more or less shorter than total length of four succeeding tarsomeres.
Abdomen (Fig. 3A, D): Tergites pale yellow, with dark grayish brown caudal bands about 1/2 as wide as tergite which laterally expanded anteriad and medially interrupted. Sternites pale yellow, somewhat grayish; male sternite V slightly broader than others.
Male terminalia (Fig. 8 A–M): Epandrium with ca. 36 long setae per side. Cercus with 33−37 long setae. Sur- stylus with upper, somewhat horizontal, straight row of ca. seven prensisetae, and lower, curved row of 9−11 prensisetae along ventral margin; inner surface with ca. 25 long setae, dorsal and anterior ones shorter than ventral ones. Tenth sternite somewhat triangular, anteromedially concaved in ventral view. Paramere apically with ca. four minute sensilla. Aedeagal apodeme straight, slightly shorter than 1/2 length of aedeagus.
Female terminalia (Fig. 8 N–P): Tergite VIII grayish yellow to dark grayish brown. Oviscapt valve distally narrowed in lateral view, with 5−6 lateral and 14−15 marginal, peg-like ovisensilla. Spermathecal capsule brown, with introvert about 9/10 height of capsule.

Etymology. Patronym, in honor of Ms. Wu-Fan Zhang at Institute of Botany, Chinese Academy of Sciences (IBCAS) for help in field collection.
Remarks. This species closely resembles H. neomakinoi (Gupta & Singh, 1981) in having abdomen tergites with caudal bands laterally expanded and medially interrupted, cercus with short spines, small lateral processes of aedeagus, and apical shape of oviscapt, but can be distinguished from it by longitudinal stripes on mesonotum (unicolorous, shiny in H. neomakinoi), and dorsally swollen aedeagus with apical flat, membranous process and ventral serrated process (rod-shaped in H. neomakinoi).
