Holotype (♀): MEXICO: PUEBLA: Tehuacán, Ejido Santiago de Tule, reared ex fruit of Euphorbia tehuacana, 21/XI/2008, E. Acosta coll. // USMN // Holotype Anastrepha tehuacana .

Paratypes: Same data as holotype (7 ♂♂; 5 ♀♀); Tehuacán, Ejido de Santiago Tula, 18°29’13’N, 97°22’05’’W, emerged Jun–Dec 2013 from larvae in seeds of fruit of Euphorbia tehuacana collected in Nov 2012, A. L. Castillo Meza & J. H. García Chávez colls. (9 ♂♂; 11 ♀♀) .

Conservation status: Complete, well preserved.
