STATUS. — Resident?

REMARK. — Pavia et al. (2012, 2018) reported the first records of the species for Burkina Faso based on morphological and genetic analyses. The status of the species in Burkina Faso needs reassessment, to include consideration of the revision of the Acrocephalus scirpaceus / baeticatus group published by Olsson et al. (2016). These records are not reported in Borrow & Demey (2014).
