LITERATURE. — Dowsett (1993); Weesie (1996); Balanca & de Visscher (1997); Borrow & Demey (2001, 2014); Portier (2002c); Sinclair & Ryan (2010); Dowsett et al. (2013).

STATUS. — Palaearctic vagrant.

REMARK. — No recent field records. Two records in central Burkina Faso reported in Borrow & Demey (2014). In addition, while all three Palaearctic subspecies are reported in West Africa (Borrow & Demey 2014), there is no information about the taxonomic identity of the Burkina Faso records, which needs further assessment.
