Holotype: not known to exist, not found in BMNH in 2005; type locality: West Indies .

Original rank: species. Current rank and status: synonym of S. angulata Newport, 1844 (Brölemann 1898, 1909; Kraepelin 1903; Bücherl 1942 a).

Anatomical illustrations: Koch (1863 b, p. 71, figs. 146a–d).

Remarks: Brölemann (1898), Kraepelin (1903), and Attems (1930) erroneously credited this name to Koch (1863 b). Meinert (1886) and Daday (1891) regarded prasina as a valid species, and Attems (1930) and Bücherl (1939) cited it as a synonym of both S. angulata and S. viridicornis . The name was omitted by Bücherl (1974).
