Original rank: species. Current rank and status: valid species (Brölemann 1898, 1909; Kraepelin 1903; Attems 1930; Bücherl 1939, 1942 a, 1974; Schileyko 2002); Bücherl (1974) divided S. angulata into three subspecies, two of which were recognized by Schileyko (2002).
