Holotype: not known to exist, not present in ZIN (S. I. Golovatch & A. A. Schileyko, pers. comm.), not listed in Moritz & Fischer (1979) as being in the ZMB; type locality: unknown .

Original rank: species. Current rank and status: synonym of S. subspinipes Leach, 1815 (Kraepelin 1903; Brölemann 1909; Bücherl 1939, 1942 a); Attems (1930) listed septemspinosa as an unrecognizable species.

Remarks: This name was omitted by Bücherl (1974).
