viridilimbata Daday, 1891:148 ** (30 December [Z. Korsós, pers. comm.]).
Holotype (not known to exist; not present at HNHM [Z. Korsós, pers. comm.]); type locality: “ Americae Borealis .”
Original rank: species. Current rank and status: synonym of S. polymorpha Wood, 1861 (Kraepelin 1903); Attems (1930) considered S. viridilimbata to be an unrecognizable species, and Shelley (2002) overlooked it.
Remarks: I accept Kraepelin’s placement of viridilimbata in synonymy under S. polymorpha . ** This paper by Daday was published twice in the same issue of Természetrajzi Füzetek, on pp. 135154, in Hungarian with Latin descriptions, and on pp. 172–193, in German. As the Hungarian version came first, the new taxa date from it rather than the German version, and the “Hungarian” pages for Daday’s four relevant taxa ( S. viridilimbata, S. subspinipes gracilipes, S. morsitans calcarata, and S. appendiculata) are cited herein.
