Oncideres malleri Fragoso, 1970: 79; Monné, 2024b: 1022 (cat.).

Remarks. This species was described based on specimens from Brazil, Mato Grosso (Rio Verde and Rosário Oeste). The holotype is from Rio Verde. In 1970, the current states of Mato Grosso and Mato Grosso do Sul were a single state under the name Mato Grosso. Currently, the only municipality in the state of Mato Grosso with a name similar to “Rio Verde” is Lucas do Rio Verde. However, this municipality was only created in 1988, although it was an agricultural village in the municipality of Diamantino in the early 1980s. Therefore, we believe that the type locality of O. malleri is Rio Verde de Mato Grosso in the Brazilian state of Mato Grosso do Sul.
