Dicranoderes annulatus; Chevrolat, 1844: 748.
Trachyderes (Dicranoderes) annulatus; Laporte, 1840: 416.
Remarks. This species was described based on syntypes (at least one male and one female) from Brazil. Monné (2024a) and Tavakilian & Chevillotte (2023) reported that the species was described based on a single specimen (holotype). However, according to Dupont (1836): “La tête est forte, beaucoup plus grosse das le mâle que dans la femelle [The head is strong, much larger in the male than in the female] ... les mandibules sont robustes, surtout dans le mâle [the mandibles are robust, especially in the male] ... Dans une femelle que je possède, les quatrième, cinquième, sixième et septième [antennal segments] articles sont entièrement noirâtres [In a female that I own, the fourth, fifth, sixth, and seventh articles are entirely blackish].”
Currently, it is known from Brazil (Goiás, Bahia, Minas Gerais, Espírito Santo, Rio de Janeiro, and São Paulo) and Bolivia (Santa Cruz) (Monné 2024a; Tavakilian & Chevillotte 2023).
