Material examined: 2♀, Katima Mulilo District, Salambala pan, 17°50'00''S, 24°35'58''E, 23–27.xii.2002, Malaise trap, A . H. & M.K. Kirk-Spriggs (1♀, NMNW; 1♀, NMWC) .
Distribution: (Afrotropical): Namibia and Nigeria. Described from a single male collected from a wheat plot on an irrigation system bordering Lake Chad, two additional Nigerian females have been examined from “Samaru, Zaria collected 29.i.1969 ” and “ 13.vii.1985 ” (deposited in NMNW).
Description: From the two above cited females the following description is composed. Female resembling male, differing from it, apart from sexual differences, in the following respects: antenna more extensively infuscate, only yellow in basal 1 / 2 of inner surface of postpedicel. Fore leg black on tibia and tarsus and also apical 1 / 2 of femur. Tergite 8 (Fig. 25) uniformly brown throughout, divided into usual 3 basal lobes, with usual pair of separated sclerites linear in form, emarginations between 3 lobes wide basally, extending for 1 / 3 length of segment, median lobe shorter than lateral lobes with margin slightly incurved.
