Cephaloleia Chevrolat, 1836
diplothemium Uhmann, 1951: 70, Fig. 4
Paratypes: 2 ♂♂, BRAZIL, Bahia: G. Bondar leg., MZFS#34002 (Fig. 1 C–D, G–I) .
Additional material: 1 ♂, same data, MZFS#34001 mistakenly designated as holotype (Fig. 1 E–F) .
Comments: According to Staines & García-Robledo (2014: 137, Fig. 122), the holotype of Cephaloleia diplotemium, is deposited at The Natural History Museum, London (NHMUK) deposited by Uhmann (Michael Geisel, curator for Chrysomelidae at NHMUK, in litters). Uhmann (1951) described the species with 9 specimens collected by Bondar and labelled with the catalog number 4665 (Fig. 1 A–D, G–H). In our collection there are one specimen of the C. diplothemium labeled with the number 4584 with the same data of the type series (Brazil, Estado da Bahia, G. Bondar leg. (Fig. 1 E–F), and another label writing “Holotipo”. The catalog number 4584 was not cited by Uhmann (1951) and the holotype label was erroneously labeled in the EMBRAPA collection.
