Generitype of Heuchera Linnaeus.

Current name: Heuchera americana L. ( Saxifragaceae).

Note: Fernald (in Rhodora 43: 496. 1941; 44: 39. 1942) discussed many of the original elements but did not typify the name, and Wells (in Syst. Bot. Monogr. 3: 83, 90. 1984) noted the Clayton and Clifford sheets but also did not make a typification. Reveal appears to have been the first to make an unambiguous choice.
