Current name: Hudsonia ericoides L. ( Cistaceae).

Note: Skog & Nickerson (in Ann. Missouri Bot. Gard. 59: 457. 1972) referred to having seen a "photograph of Linnaeus’ type species" but are vague as to exactly what this may have been. Reveal’s choice, however, is unequivocal.
