Records for Nylanderia species in Hong Kong and Macao

In the present study, 13 Nylanderia species and morphospecies are recorded for Hong Kong, with nine new records, one species having their record confirmed for the region (i.e., Nylanderia indica (Forel, 1894)), and two species having their record ascribed as dubious (i.e., N. bourbonica and N. vividula) (Table 1). Of the nine new records, two of them were not possible to ascribe to valid species names, so we treated them as morphospecies (i.e. Nylanderia IBBL-01 and Nylanderia IBBL-02). We also recorded eight Nylanderia species and morphospecies for Macao, four of them being considered new records; two of them were from valid species names, while the other two were from morphospecies.
