Syntype:— SWITZERLAND. Tessin: S. Salvadore, 8–900 m, 7 June 1895, J. Bornmüller (B barcode B 10 0420891!).—Current name: Hieracium tenuiflorum Arv. -Touv. in Bicknell (1896: 173) .

Remarks: —Even though the mountain “S. Salvadore” in the Ticino is not explicitly mentioned in the protologue of the subform glabrescens, we consider it as type material due to Zahn´s revision on the label.
