Calophya duvauae (Scott, 1882)
Distribution. Argentina, Uruguay.— Brazil: RS (Ihering 1885, Wille 1926, Ronna 1934, Costa Lima 1942, Bienzanko et al. 1949, as Psylla duvauae; Burckhardt 1988; Dias 2010, as Calophya aff. duvauae).
Host plant. Schinus dependens, S. fasciculata, S. polygama (Anacardiaceae) (see comments).
Comment. Burckhardt (1988) noted that the specimens from Brazil differ in the forewing colour from the type material of C. duvauae from Argentina . Additional recently examined specimens suggest that the Brazilian populations constitute a different species.
There is a problem concerning the valid host name. Scott (1882) described C. duvauae from Duvaua dependens which is a synonym of Schinus polygama, a species occurring in Chile and perhaps adjacent Argentina (Barkley 1944, 1957). For this reason Burckhardt & Basset (2000) used the name Schinus fasciculata for records of this host from Argentina and Brazil.
