Akymnopellis laevigata (Porat, 1876)

Distribution. This species is known from French Guyana, Venezuela, Colombia, Peru, Chile, Argentina, Brazil and Uruguay (Kraepelin 1903; Attems 1930; Bücherl 1942; 1974; Shelley 2008). In Colombia it was recorded from the Province of Cauca, in the Pacific Región.

Altitudinal range. Known only from one locality at 1871 m.
