DISTRIBUTION: Senegal to Cameroun.

COMMENT: Subgenus Myomyscus; see Misonne, 1974, Part 6:27. Includes Myomys ingoldbyi; see Van der Straeten and Verheyen, 1978, Z. Saugetierk., 45:31-41, who placed daltoni in subgenus Myomys . May include butleri (EVS) .
