Preservation: pinned; specimen intact.

Paratype male with labels: (1) printed with handwritten inscriptions on white label: “Yaan / 84.8.24 ”; (2) printed on yellow label: “ PARATYPE ”; (3) handwritten on white label: “ Pegohylemyia apodicra sp.nov. ”; (4) printed with handwritten inscriptions on red label: “ PARATYPE / Botanophila / apodicra / (Feng) ”.

Preservation: pinned; genitalia dissected and filled with glycerin.

Additional notes: Both specimens collected by Yan Feng at Zhougong Mountain, 1760 meters above sea level, Yaan City, Sichuan Province .
